TSC Ep 017 - Keeping Community Strong in the Spring

You know something I've noticed in my own classroom, lately?

The kids are getting a little antsy.

And a little tired of each other.

And the beautiful community that we worked so hard to establish in the fall is starting to crack. 

There's more tattling. More whining. More complaining. More annoyance. 

It's not terrible, but the energy in my room has shifted. And I have found myself trying to find ways to bring us back to the sweet, patient, friendly class that we were closer to the beginning of the year.

Will they still act more like siblings than classmates sometimes? Sure. Will I still lose my patience with them for being too comfortable with me and complaining about things we're doing? Most definitely. 

But, I am attempting to reel us back in.
